The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is a major tragedy! This is going to affect wildlife for years to come. Our wetland and wildlife will be destroyed. Oil precises will increase in turn the price of gas will also increase.

11 people that were working on the platform are still missing and assumed dead. My condolences go out to the families of these missing workers. My family is praying for your family.

Now I know a way we can decrease or dependence on crude oil. Every time we purchase a vehicle all of the fluids are drained and sent out to be recycled. Well you too can do this every time you have your oil changed. If you go to a shop to get it changed make sure that they recycle the waste oil. Sum shops just send it out to be disposed of, make sure this is not the case.

Also make sure that you insist that the shop use recycled oil in your vehicle. This will drop our dependence on new crude thus less oil in the long run that we have to pump out of the earth. I don’t know the exact number of barrels a year this would save us but I would imagine that it is high.
