Well all of us in the Houston area were effected by hurricane Ike. I had a long blog post on this site about the storm, but it was lost in the server crash. So I will touch on a few points concerning flooded cars from Ike.

First I would like to let everybody know that when we pick up flooded cars we will not sell parts off of them. Salt water destroys the wiring and most parts. Salt water to a car is like acid.

There are a lot of people fixing or trying to fix salt water flooded cars and reselling them. This is a no no. If you buy a vehicle at a car lot or from a dealer, later you find out that it is a salt water damaged car then please seek legal help. These cars will never ever be right.

Always run a carfax or a service similar to make sure that a used vehicle isn’t a flooded out car.

This brings up a good point, what do I do with my flooded car. Simple call us and we will pay you cash for it. We will need a title for the vehicle and a copy of your state issued drivers license or id. If you do not have a title and the vehicle is in your name or your spouse’s name, then I have a form that the state requires you to fill out.  Texas Motor Vehicle Department

We are here to help you in anyway that we are able. Even if you do not sell us your vehicle we are here to answer all of your questions. Please feel free to call us at 713-592-2576
